What is Cheshbon HaNefesh?

Cheshbon HaNefesh — literally “accounting of the soul” — is a practice from the Jewish Mussar tradition of daily self-examination. In 1812, R’ Menachem Mendel Lefin of Satanov published his groundbreaking book outlining a system of 13 character traits (middot) to work on, one per week, cycling through all 13 over a quarter.

This app brings that timeless system to life with an AI guide who walks you through honest, compassionate self-reflection — like a wise chavruta (study partner) available whenever you need one.
